I am a St. Jude Hero again for 2019! I have chosen to run for a reason bigger than myself by fundraising for the kids and families that are battling childhood cancer, both at St.Jude Children's Research Hospital and . I remain a part of the Chris Hope Foundation Team, but simultaneously I am bringing awareness for a friend who's son has battled a tumor in his lung and was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma shortly after. His name is Atticus, he is a very strong third-grader and he has been in and out of chemo treatments since late June.
I have purposely deleted the generic prepared statement that is usually found in these email blasts and social media posts, simply because you have seen and read them so many times before. This time I want you to focus and better understand that my genuine efforts, through training and running this marathon, is truly making a difference. So please, give cheerfully to this charity that I love being an ambassador for and think about little Atticus and keep him and his family in your prayers.
No matter what, always remember that every little bit helps. So share this message with your friends and help me show these sweet children that they are not alone in their fight for life. God bless you and be with you always!
