The St. Jude Memphis Marathon weekend is just a few months away and I will be running the half-marathon as a St. Jude Hero to raise funds for Adam's Army and St Jude. I'm proud to be a part of this nationwide alliance against childhood cancer.
Since 2014, I have run the St. Jude marathon or half-marathon to support Adam Cruthirds, a St Jude patient and raise funds for Team Adam and then Adam's Army. Adam's goal has been to give back to St. Jude by having his team raise $1,000,000.00 for St Jude. Adam's Army is less than $300,000.00 away from that goal.
Did you know:
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Help our team reach our goal by making a donation. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
