I am choosing to run in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon in memory of my sister Anna. Anna was a brave little girl that touched the hearts of so many. In 2004 she lost her battle to cancer, but it is through the compassion of our friends, family, and community that her fighting spirit lives on.
In 2009 our family formed a group to help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Anna’s Flying Pigs reaches a record breaking year last year with over $103.000. There is no reason for 2020 to be any different. With your help, let’s help end childhood cancer.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my personal goal of $1,500. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
