St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the reason I am alive today. No matter how many years pass since my treatment at SJ as a 12 year old, I carry with me a deep gratitude and respect for this institution - and for every doctor, nurse, faculty, staff, and fundraiser that makes SJ such a special place. I am running the London Marathon in support of St. Jude not just because I owe this hospital my life, but because I know how many more lives we can save by supporting the important work of this organization.
Despite the incredible strides made in improving childhood cancer rates, there is still so much work to do. One reason I continue to run for St. Jude is their renewed focus on improving access to care to children with cancer and life-threatening blood diseases in every corner of the world. St. Jude Global will create a network of interactive institutions that will form a global alliance aiming to cure at least 60 percent of children with six of the most common kinds of cancer worldwide by 2030.
Please support me in my efforts to continue the impact that this incredible institution makes to kids and families around the world.
