Nancy was born on January 16th, 1960 and grew up in Helotes, Texas, surrounded by family. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1978. That same year, she met Rodney, who later became her husband. The two of them shared 43 years of devotion and many adventures while creating a loving and supportive family. Nancy was devoted to her career in underground utilities sales and many of her coworkers, vendors and customers have become part of her family. She loved cooking, baking, crafting, fishing, dancing – especially to live music, family road trips and gardening.
A wife, mother, grandmother, and true friend – these are the gifts that she granted us. She taught us strength and endurance, showed us love, led us in fights we never thought we could survive then celebrated our victories with us and lovingly comforted us through our failures. Nancy had a vast, strong heart and was a beacon of patience, guidance, love and support for every person that she encountered. She had a lot of honorary children who felt the same love and strength that her own children were showered with. She did everything she could to shelter, take care of, and protect us all in every way possible. She gave her best to all of us, and now it is her time to rest.
Weep Not For Me
By an Unknown Author
Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
