There are so many wonderful things to celebrate about Michael's life, but the most important thing to him was how much he loved being a father. Growing up he always had his daughter Sarah and all of her cousins out in the yard, on the swing set, eating ice cream as fast as they could, before it would melt. He taught them how to swim in the pool, ride bikes, throw a football, and build forts in the living room. He always loved being with the kids. He had a positive, fun-loving, light hearted spirit.
Michael lost his father to brain cancer at the young age of 10 years old. Michael was also a cancer survivor. I can think of no better way to keep his memory alive than to lighten the load for these families.
In honor of Michael's memory his family is requesting donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Your donations make this possible and give parents hope. No child should have to deal with cancer, and no parent should have to worry about how to pay for it.
