Dear Friends,
Our Ben unexpectedly passed away a few weeks ago. During this time of grief and adapting to what our life now looks like, my family has been reminiscing and joyfully learning a lot of facets about my brother we didn’t always see as his family. He was always a quiet, but strong individual.
Ben was a helper in life. In honor of him, we have created a memorial fund to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Ben wore a St. Jude bracelet every day—it seems only fitting that we honor him with a gift in his name.
This hospital, unlike most others, relies on donors for the majority of its funding. Their families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. Donations do not merely go to research; they also fund meals, housing, toys and art supplies, red wagons, and more.
Should St. Jude not call to you, please feel very welcome to donate elsewhere in the spirit of Ben. While the timing of circumstances makes it difficult to celebrate his life with family and friends, we hope to be able to gather together at some point in the future.
We are so very grateful for the time we shared on this planet together, and for each one of our friends, near and far, and our little Crestwood, Kentucky community for the love and support.
