Our family has truly been touched by the people who have reached out to us over the past few days, it shows how loved we are and how loved of a person Steve was. He was not one to look for pity on himself from others, and he stayed this way until his fight was over. He also felt a tremendous amount of pain for the children around the world that are suffering from the same disease he was and believed that these children shouldn't have to deal with what they are going through, knowing personally how it felt. His wish was that he be remembered for the man he was throughout his life as a son, a brother, a friend, a husband, and a father. Please remember him as he was in your memories and not how he was from his illness. So please if you feel the need to send our family flowers or anything we wish that instead, you consider donating that money to the foundation in his memory.
