Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude

Layla decided that she wanted to raise money to help other kids. While we were discussing what St. Jude Children's Research Hospital did, I was honest with her about everything... I told her how hard it is for a parent to see their child suffer and the struggles of covering expenses that come with it. I also explained how so many children leave this earth before their parents and what that does to a family emotionally. She had so many questions, but she said, "let's make their mommies smile." Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
