Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
I was diagnosed with Leukemia (All) at the age of 3 years old. My mom knew something was wrong and fought to get my diagnosis when doctors brushed off symptoms as possible other things. I still remember the constant visits to Children's Hospital. The finger pricks, bone marrow tests, spinal taps, blood transfusions, radiation, etc. all still haunt me to this day. I get bad anxiety just going into any medical building from living my childhood in a hospital. A simple small toy always seemed to help ease the pain. I'm hoping to bring a smile to any child's face and ease their pain with my display, even if it's only for a few minutes. Those few minutes are pain free and those memories will bring back smiles years later. I am a cancer survivor and I'm looking to use my display to receive donations as a way to give back and provide kids an opportunity to be cured and do amazing things in their future!!!
Thanks to you donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
