Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
As many of you know, our son is a leukemia survivor. Although he was treated by the best at Georgetown, it was St. Jude’s that created the international protocol which ultimately “cured” him. We were very lucky to have such a protocol in place and his treatment was straight forward. But other families aren’t quite as fortunate and need continued research to find the treatment needed for their type of cancer. I believe this will happen one day just as it did for leukemia patients. But that can only happen if St. Jude’s has the financing to keep researching.
Additionally, Thanks to you donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
