Who We Are
Welcome friends! Thanks for visiting Haunt On High's Skeletons for St. Jude team donation page! If you don't know me, I'm Jamie Datino-DeMaio, and decorating for Halloween is my favorite obsession since youth. I'm so excited to be joining over 400 other home "haunts" across the country, scaring the neighbors and raising money for a wonderful cause in the process! Our collective goal this year, is to raise $100,000 for St. Jude, an amount that will bring a combined total of $250,000 direct donations since 2020.
I've always gone ALL OUT decorating for Halloween, creating a spooky experience on High Street since 2010. Recently, I've been thinking about using these efforts to benefit our community.
When I was planning this years display, My dad was reminiscing about how when he was a kid in the 50s and 60s, his boy scout troop would receive kits to decorate their houses, as a way to raise awareness and fund raise. I thought, what a great idea!
I've spent my entire life working with children and families, and everyone knows somebody who has been affected by cancer. The mission of St. Jude as well as Skeletons for St. Jude aligns with these passions. In every community you will find someone who has been helped by St. Jude. Each dollar raised goes directly toward their mission/families, that's meaningful to me.
A few months ago, my dad was diagnosed with and is battling brain cancer. My personal goal, in honor of my dad, is to raise $1,000.
Haunt On High's 2022 Events
I have enlisted the help of my young friends next door, Charlie and Calvin, to turn their home into a haunted house, Cayer Haunted Manor on Sunday October 30th for Charlie's 9th birthday party, followed by a Trunk-or-Treat at St. John Paul II School where we are presenting the Haunted RV - Pirates Last Ride. Of course On Halloween night, full Halloween production will be in place, tricks and treats at 454 High Street. Hope to see you there!
