The Seiwert Family decided to set up the display early this year at 25164 W. Glen Oaks Lane in Shorewood, IL, and join Skeletons for St. Jude. Why would someone want to do this? It is simple we try and teach our 2 young children there are things in this world out of our control, we may not like them but we can put our all into finding a way through them. In our extended family, we have members who are struggling with illnesses/conditions like Cerebral Palsy and Metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD). This is one of our small efforts to raise awareness and support all the families who need it! Our children are often in the garage designing and making our display with us. They are learning to safely use power tools and create something magical, this year it was a Zombie Containment unit. After all the work building the display our kid's faces light up when other families stop by to check out the display. With our personal display, we are hoping to raise $1,000 this season.
Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
