Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join us! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
Many of you know me as the crazy lady in The Halloween house. I've been attempting to entertain your families every fall since The Glen Oaks Cemetery opened its gates in 2014. This year will be better than ever (unless it rains). My family will be putting extra time in to dazzle you, but I'm asking for something in return for the first time ever.
For the last three years, my son Michael has asked me to collect cash donations for cancer patients. With all the craziness during Halloween night (e.g., children hopping on the skeleton see-saw and merry-go-round- you know who you are!), there's just too much chaos to monitor a collection box.
As luck would have it, in 2020, a fellow DIY haunter residing in SC began a St. Jude Fundraising campaign called Skeletons for St. Jude. It has quickly become a nationwide effort, raising over $163,000. Please help us to make this fundraiser an even greater success. My son is a team captain so he can monitor the amounts donated by the generous people of Rye and surrounding areas. We will provide periodic updates about progress toward our goal. You can donate using the provided link or the QR code on the sign, which I will place in my yard in a few days. Thank you for your help! No amount is too small.
