Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
For those who are not familiar with just the name Max, my name is Max Margolis. I am 16 years old and in my junior year of high school. My passion at sport is playing golf and watching soccer, as well as being a high achieving student at Palm Desert High School. I have been playing golf since I was 5 years old and I am looking forward to playing college golf once I’m finished with high school in 2 years.
I'm fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to give back to kids who have not been blessed with the good health that I have been fortunate to experience so far in my life. This is an opportunity for me to help, hopefully improve other children's lives. When I was younger, I unfortunately lost a teenage cousin, Constantino, to Leukemia who I watched fight and suffer for too many years. I feel the least I can do is arrange my fundraiser which can hopefully go towards finding a cure or saving a child's life.
On September 30th, 2023, starting at 7 A.M., I plan to play up to 100 holes of golf at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. I will play non-stop until I can no longer see the ball due to the light, and whilst the temperature could easily be a 100+ degrees, I am determined to achieve my goal and hope that I will get the support of the large golfing community that I am familiar with plus family and friends to reach my $20,000 goal. Anyone and everyone are welcome to watch as I play these rounds of golf and the support on the course will be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the 30th and hope you'll find it in your hearts to be as generous as possible. All donations will be directly submitted to St. Jude's on this webpage and a tax receipt will be issued by them for your kind donation.
