The Hours for St. Jude Program has raised nearly $3 million for the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. The FedEx St. Jude Championship has been in the Memphis community for 66 years and this year we once again will kick-off the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The top 70 players in the FedExCup Rankings will come to TPC Southwind August 14-18 to compete for golf's ultimate prize. For the last eleven years, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has been supporting our 1,500 volunteers, who have the privilege of being part of this world-class event for free. The Hours for St. Jude program has helped the tournament raise over $72 million to further St. Jude's mission: Finding cures. Saving children.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened in 1962. And we won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food—so they can focus on helping their child live.
It doesn't matter what's going on in your life, if something comes up with a child, you would do anything to make them better. St. Jude makes that possible for so many families, from so many places, and I'm grateful to play a small part in helping the hospital and the kids.
We're right here for good.
BlueCross is a mission-driven not-for-profit, and our first priority is improving the health of the people and communities we serve. That means we have a responsibility to give back. Our foundation gives millions each year to build BlueCross Healthy Places and support local causes, and our TeamBlue volunteers offer their time and talents to make a difference across Tennessee.
As the official 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship Volunteer Sponsor, we're honored to once again support the force of volunteers who work long, tiring days to tee-up the tournament at TPC Southwind. Over the last eleven years, not only have the FedEx St. Jude Championship volunteers remained cool under pressure, but they have upped the game by raising nearly $3,000,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the "Hours for St. Jude" fundraising drive.
Ask a volunteer why they do it, and we'll bet they'll all say the same thing, "It's all about the kids at St. Jude." We agree, and we're proud to stand behind an army of passionate givers for the brave children in our home state. Congratulations. And thanks, y'all.
