It costs a lot for St. Jude to cure a child with cancer using the latest technologies and care. But because of donations, the price for patient families is $0. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything.
Many families come to St. Jude thinking it's like any other hospital. They expect to pay high fees to get their child the best care. They're overwhelmed with gratitude when they learn St. Jude works to save their child's life for free using world-class care.
Your donations make this possible and give parents hope.

Dennie Lee Williams, 68, of Onsted, Michigan passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Dennie was born on January 3, 1954 to parents Robert and Rosa Williams. Dennie spent his childhood on the family farm in Delta, Ohio, and they raised dairy cows. He enjoyed his time on the farm, and took pride showing his animals in 4-H at the Fulton County Fair. Dennie graduated from Delta High School in 1972 and attended the University of Toledo.
Dennie met Cheryl Edwards in February of 1984, and they married on May 10, 1986. They enjoyed their early years of marriage in Waterville, Ohio before moving to Temperance, Michigan. On March 7, 1995 they welcomed their only daughter, Lindsay into the world. On November 12, 2021, Dennie became a grandfather to Colton Lee Curtis, who was named after him. Dennie was a wonderful husband and father and grandfather who was proud of his family.
Dennie retired from Dana Inc. in January 2019 from his position as a Sr. Network Engineer. In his retirement Dennie built his dream home on a lake with Cheryl, where they enjoyed days on their boat and watching the sunsets.
Dennie loved to travel and see the world. He and his family took many family vacations together over the years. Two of his favorite trips were his honeymoon with Cheryl to Hawaii where they visited the islands of Oahu and Maui, and a cruise to Alaska with his wife and daughter where he went dogsledding and explored the beautiful Alaskan scenery.
Dennie’s love of animals came from his days on the farm. Dennie loved his family pets, Lacie and Cayenne, and his four “granddogs”.
Dennie was also a lifelong avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan and never missed a game. Dennie went to many OSU football games in his life, and was able to share that experience with friends and with his daughter as well.
Dennie is survived by his loving wife of over 36 years, Cheryl Williams (Edwards); his daughter Lindsay Curtis (Williams) and son-in-law Blake Curtis; and his most cherished grandson Colton Lee Curtis. He is also survived by his sister, Debbie Towns (Williams) and family. Dennie was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rosa Williams.
Private services were held. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Dennie at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Dennie’s memory.
