Last spring I had the opportunity to visit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. To say that my trip was impactful is an understatement. While there, I was struck by the level of care provided to childhood cancer patients and to their families. I know that if my children were to ever get sick, I'd want them to receive the kind of care that St. Jude provides.
Last year I ran my first ever half marathon and used my running to make an impact. This year I'm doing it again AND my 13 year old Emily, will join me in running a 10K.
As I train to run for St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend in December, I've also set a goal to raise $2500 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to support their lifesaving mission: Finding cures. Saving children.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Thanks to donors like you:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
It's an incredible place that does amazing things for children while taking care of families so they can focus on helping their child live.
Your 100% tax deductible donation will help me reach my goal for the kids of St. Jude!
