Why I'm fundraising for St. Jude
Thanks to you donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
In 2019, I was diagnosed with invasive melanoma in my finger which the doctors thought was an arthritic ganglion cyst. The night before the removal, a very deep voice came to me and told me to get it tested. I feel blessed because if it was not for that voice, the cyst would not have been tested and who knows if I would be alive today.
It took many surgeries, treatments and radiation to finally rid me of this terrible Stage 3 Metastatic Melanoma. I am right handed and everything was done to my right arm, along with my index finger being amputated. Needless to say I did not know if I could type alone paint. It turns out that I can. As an author, pen name, Blake Milella Caputi, I created a children's book called "Jason Finds Happiness". I am currently selling this book on my author page with all profits going to St. Jude. My reason for doing this is because I know how difficult it was for me as an adult, I can not imagine what the children are going through with smiles still on their faces. I did not have that many smiles. So if you like to donate by getting a book go to my website, www.blakemilellacaputi.net and if not interested in a book, please donate above.
Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
