As a leading international nonprofit, community service organization, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. continues to grow through Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service. Founded in 1922 on the campus of Butler University, the sorority's mission is to enhance the quality of life within the community.
Since 1992, Sigma Gamma Rho has partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to support its lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children. Together, we won't stop until childhood cancer, sickle cell and other deadly diseases are eliminated. In partnering with St. Jude, we are able to assist in providing support so that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food — because all a family should worry about at a time like this, is helping their child to live. Members, affiliates and friends from across the country are invited to join us in the fight against pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease by raising money through the 2017 St. Jude Walk/ Run to End Childhood Cancer.
