St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer - Baton Rouge, LA

Team Preston

Preston was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Severe Aplastic Anemia at the age of 2.  After 6 months of treatment, we learned that it wasn't working and his only hope would be a bone marrow transplant at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Preston, Renee, and Ma moved to Memphis so Preston could get the transplant.  The day after his 3rd birthday, Preston received his gift of life from an unrelated donor.

Today we are celebrating 7 years post transplant.  Preston is a happy, healthy 9 year old and we have St. Jude to thank for saving his life!!!

We've signed up for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer, and we need your help to reach our fundraising goal. Support us by making a donation or by joining our team.

Why St. Jude?

  • Thanks to our supporters, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything.
  • Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since the hospital opened in 1962. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
