I am participating in a St. Jude Indianapolis fun run and am raising money to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital find cures for children battling childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. If you got to this link by clicking on my signature, thanks for stopping in! Please feel free to donate and then share the link with anyone else you think would enjoy joining us to raise money for a tremendous charity that supports incredible kids and their amazing families! If you're in the Indianapolis area please consider joining our team, email, call or text me for details!
As many of you know, cancer has struck my family deeply. In January of 2017, we lost our beloved Nathan to medulloblastoma. Over the course of Nathan's 4-year long intense battle and treatment, we all saw first hand the amazing benefits of St. Jude: health treatments, emotional support, freedom from the financial burden of astronomical medical bills, etc. The amazing benefits of St. Jude have prooven personally valuable to our extended family, and I'm asking all of you to help me raise money to see that as many other families who go through this challenging journey of life can be supported in the same way by St. Jude. Of course, the ultimate goal is to also support St. Jude's RESEARCH so that someday soon - NO family would have the burden of childhood cancer.
At Shaw our team goal is to raise over $25,000, and the Indianapolis team is going to raise over $1,500 to help families everywhere battle cancer with the same epic level of tenaciousness that Nathan showed us all every day. My individual commitment to my team is to raise $500 or more......this is after many of you helped me raise over $2,500 just a few short weeks ago as Team Nathan & East Peoria raised over $100k for St Jude, but there is still a massive need for more fundraising, so please donate generously!!!
I would also like to mention that I am proud to work for a company that partners with St. Jude. Over 75% of the nearly $2mm/day it takes to run St. Jude comes from donators like you and corporate sponsors like Shaw.
Nathan's life verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Did you know?
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
- The daily operating cost for St. Jude is $2.2 million, which is primarily covered by individual contributors and corporate sponsors.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies of cancer, and neither will I. Will you support me by making a donation?
Thank you for your help...In His love...Jared
