Friends. I've signed up for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer in memory of Emma White, my best friend's niece. Sweet Emma was diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer (Glioblastoma Multiform) at age 2. She was a St. Jude patient, and for 2 years she fought her battle against cancer with bravery and her sweet smile. She taught everyone who knew her about love, strength, courage, faith, bravery and how to dance in the rain. She always lit up the room. It is my great honor to help continue the fight against cancer that Emma so bravely fought.
In addition, as unfortunate circumstances would have it, I also continue the fight for one of my college besties, Matt Lacher. Matt was a childhood cancer survivor but suffered heart issues in his adulthood as a result. Those heart issues ultimately led him to be with the Lord on June 23rd, 2017. Matt lit up a room with his smile and his humor. He made every person who knew him feel special. He was the absolute best husband, father and dedicated friend. I speak for many when I say that he is missed beyond belief. Lacher, we all "love yous". This one is for you friend!
Please consider helping me reach my fundraising goal. My goal is to raise $1,500 for the children and families of St. Jude. You can support me by making a donation or by joining a team for this year's Nashville St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.
Why St. Jude?
- Thanks to our supporters, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food because all a family should worry about is helping their child LIVE
- St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate for childhood cancer from less than 20% when we first opened our doors to 80% today. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Thank you for your support!!!
