Dear Friends and Family,
I’ve signed up for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer, and I need you to help me reach my fundraising goal. As you know my grandson, Luca, was diagnosed with a form of pediatric liver cancer in June 2011, one month shy of his 2 year old birthday. After six surgeries and several complications Luca went into remission in December 2011. In July 2013 Luca developed a new tumor on his kidney which was removed. In April 2014 another tumor was discovered on his kidney and that was removed. In the fall of 2014 and the spring of 2015 Luca had to have two more tumors removed. Since then Luca has had tumors removed about once a year. Luca has spent this summer recovering from his most recent surgery. Yet, due to the wonderful care of St. Jude and his family, Luca is in third grade and doing well with friends, family and school. St. Jude and Luca need your help to continue this care.
Support me by making a donation or by joining my team.
Why I support St. Jude:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate for childhood cancer from less than 20% when we first opened our doors to 80% today. St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
