Dear Family and Friends:
The Annual Canton to Peoria St. Jude Run was on Saturday, July 30th this year. I spent the day driving some awesome runners from Canton to Peoria for the 34,5 mile trek. This was my 10th year participating in the Run to help get rid of Childhood Cancer. Our group of runners from Canton to Peoria donated $122,500 this year. This year, my wife Dawn and I decided to do a different fundraising event for St. Jude. We are going to participate in the Peoria to Memphis St. Jude Rides this year. This trip is a 465 mile Motorcycle ride from Peoria, Illinois to Memphis, Tennessee on September 15th and 16th. We have a goal of earning a donation of more than $2,000 to St Jude Children’s Hospital this year. The St. Jude Rides event donated $623,750 this year from the Ride for 2015. Dawn and I really want to be part of this event and with all of your help, we can help raise the donations possible to help the families and the children of St. Jude.
As most of you may know, my nephew Kyle, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Childhood Cancer in 1997. He was almost three years old then. If you do the math, Kyle is 21 years old now!!! Since 2000, Kyle has been in remission and doing very well. Kyle goes to Memphis for a Life Study of his success story for being cured from his cancer. Yes, his Doctors have said the “C’ word… The good “C” word meaning Cured! Kyle has been accepted to Western Illinois University to work towards a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Fire Science. He is interested in going into the Firefighting profession (like his Father) after college. These accomplishments and many more to come, I am sure, would not be possible without the research, development and treatments of the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Dawn and I would like to thank all of you who contributed last year and all who will contribute this year. We look forward to hearing from those of you that we have not spoken to recently and appreciate any and all of the donations that we will receive for the Children of St. Jude. No donation is too small.

How your donation helps:
- Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join me! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
