I need your help to accomplish something special. On Aug 4th and 5th I'm going to participate in a organized charity run. We will be running nearly 100 miles from Champaign to Peoria.
This run is very special for two reasons. First, the run benefits St Jude Childrens Research Hospital which is dedicated to helping children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Second, the run is organized by my daughter Terri. For the last few years she has organized this run, and it's been on my bucket list to run along side her. She has unselfishly given countless hours organizing and has acquired numerous blisters for this very worthy cause.
I've never been one to ask for help, but reaching the fundraising goal for this run requires lots of support.
So help an old guy, and in doing so you will help lots of little ones in need. It will be forever appreciated.
As doners please know that:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will I. Will you support me by making a donation?
