For the sixth consecutive year, I am running for the kids from St. Jude. Sometimes I have been distracted by setting lofty distance goals, last year I ran 46 miles. This year, the miles do not count. What matters most is you helping me raise money for the kids.
My brother died from leukemia when I was ten. I promise you it hurts more now than it did then. On August 4th and 5th our team will participate in a relay-style run, 101 miles from Champaign-Urbana to Peoria. We leave downtown Champaign early on Friday evening and we run through the night to arrive in Peoria the following afternoon. In Peoria, we will join over one thousand other runners coming from all over the State of Illinois.
St. Jude Children’s Hospital is the largest childhood cancer center in the world. It is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. It is also a place where families without insurance are never asked to pay. Every dollar donated (100%) goes towards the research, care and treatment of the kids at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Thank you for your support.
