My name is Victoria Stanislovaitis and this is my third year participating in the St. Jude Run! This year I will be running with the Chicago team (I ran with Dunlap in 2014, Richwoods in 2016, now Chicago in 2017). If any of my friends and family would like to see me off with Chicago team, we will be 'starting' on Friday August 4th either at Midwestern or Lisle High School (start TBD).
As many of you know, I am a pediatric pharmacist with the Children's Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) at OSF. We also have a St. Jude Clinic as we are an affliate for Memphis. I am also one of the St. Jude pharmacists and review the orders for our St. Jude kiddos and make their chemotherapy. Our pediatric pharmacists even round with the hematalogy/oncology team for the St Jude kiddos while they get admitted for in patient chemotherapy. We help make recommendations to the doctors for dosing, reactions, anti-emetic medications, and their IV fluids. We see the St. Jude kids on their best days, but also on their worst. I have worked at CHOI since October 2015 and love every minute of it!
Please help me reach my fundraising goal for the kids of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, who are battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Thanks to generous donors:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will I. Will you support me by making a donation?
