St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend

Team Suzy

Our team wants to do more than run. We want to help run St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, so that no other children die in the dawn of life.

We run in Memory of Suzy - a funny, smart and adventurous little girl.  Even through her diagnosis and treatment, Suzy's spark for life was evident to everyone she met.

Unfortunately, Suzy lost her fight with cancer and passed away 16 years ago.  Not a day goes by that her family and friends do not miss her, and so this is one of the many ways we can keep her memory alive and fight for other kids who are entering treatment each day at St. Jude.

We're fundraising while we train for our race so we can make a difference in the lives of kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

  • Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about it helping their child live.
  • Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.

Join us as we help run St. Jude!
