I'm using my running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as I train. I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money we raise helped find a cure for childhood cancer.
Here's why St. Jude is so incredible:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
- St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
But here's the thing: healthcare costs are only going to continue to rise. That means places like St. Jude will have to continue to fight for every penny to keep providing their services at NO CHARGE to the families.
Please donate and help me reach my goal! (No amount is too small.)
By the way...
This is the inaugural event for my new passion project, RUN 50 WITH ME!
I am committed to running a half-marathon in each of the 50 US States, PLUS Washington D.C. (Yes, I know that makes it 51, but with the whole taxation without representation thing, what can you do?)
But this isn't about me. Each race I run will be for a charity that I'm inspired by, and first up is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
