I've started running longer distances more frequently! The longer rungs are definitely challenging, but it feels good to succeed once I make it to the end. Right now 13.1 miles feels like a very long way to go... In terms of training, this week I have a combination of sprints, long distance (7.25 mile), interval training (5 x 1000 m), and weights. I do most of my running on a beach path near my house - inspirational and scenic. The hardest part has been finding time to put my an emphasis on my training between work. I am on a flight almost every week, if only they had treadmills on planes! Thank you to everyone who has donated to St. Jude's and supported me!

I am proud to announce that I will be running the Rock 'n' Roll 1/2 Marathon with my best friend, Natalie Fahey! (My profile picture is us from Kindergarten!)
I've decided to enroll as a Hero Runner- meaning I'm using my running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as I train. I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money I raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer.
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
