As with most, cancer has impacted my life in more ways than one. While I am lucky enough to have never had cancer, I have known multiple family, friends and colleagues impacted by the terrible disease, including two of my late grandparents and very close family friends. A cure for cancer could be so incredibly live changing for so many families.
To continue the fight against pediatric cancer, I will be running my next Half Marathon on behalf of St. Jude and in doing so, am committed to raise $3,000 for research and treatment. Any and all donations, no matter the size, will help me reach my goal.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a not-for-profit pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children's catastrophic diseases. Families whose children are receiving care from St. Jude never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Thank you for joining me in this fight against childhood cancer.
