I'm choosing to run for more than myself.
In April 2017, my niece, Brooke Brantner, was diagnosed with leukemia. Brooke is a bold, intelligent spirit whose faith and perseverance are an inspiration to everyone she meets. When she was diagnosed, she was the one reassuring her family that God had everything under control! Over the last six months, she's spent countless weeks in Memphis away from her sisters and dad. But with her inner strength, her mother's courage, and the absolute godsend of St. Jude's, she's getting the treatment she needs.
It's a long road (2 years to go), but St. Jude's is the running shoes, the GU pack, the water stops, & the provider of cheerleaders along the way.
Did you know?
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
