Last year, I somehow managed to sneak my way onto the St. Jude “Heroes” Marathon team. As a member of the team, I fortified my VO2s and fartleks with a healthy regimen of asking you to part with your money. Together, we managed to raise over five hundred dollars for the team over at St. Jude Children’s Hospital and contributed to their ongoing efforts to beat childhood cancer once and for all. This year, I will be running with Team St. Jude in the Baltimore marathon and have made it my goal to double what we raised last year!
Reaching this goal is important to me. The team at St. Jude believes it is possible to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent within the next decade. Since families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food, every little bit we can contribute means more freedom for St. Jude to focus on what matters most—saving kids.
I hope you will consider joining me in my goal of raising $1,000. All donations are tax deductible and every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
