I'm choosing to run for more than myself. April 17, 2016 changed my life. My gorgeous godchild came into this world and after an all too short stay with us, he passed away with his family by his side. No one-no parent, aunt, sibling, grandparent, family friend-should feel the way that felt. I ran this 1/2 marathon last year and it was truly an amazing experience to get to see what a real difference St. Jude hospital makes in people's lives. Training and running this 1/2 to honor my godson was one of the most fantastic experiences I've ever had and I knew I wanted to make it an annual event!
I'm using my running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as I train. I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because of the money I raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer and other life threatening illnesses
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Please donate and help me reach my goal!
Thank you all so much in advance! Your support means so much to me and so much to every family who has received or will receive care at St. Jude.
