Dear friends and family,
In June, I decided that I would go back to St. Jude one more time as Susie really wanted to do this race in her 70's, and last year didn't pan out as she suffered a pelvic stress fracture. In addition I was eager to see Emily participate in her tenth marathon weekend in Memphis. And after Charly's cardiac arrest at last year's race, but being saved by Sharon Lopata, a member of Team SFSF, I am just EAGER to return to see Charly, Sharon, Emily, Sarah, and the 20 others who have supported SFSF thrioughout these past nine years..
In July I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. My chemo regimen should be done by the end of October, and I'm hoping that I will be able to not only travel to Memphis, but to walk the 5K as well.
The treatment our precious Sophie received at St. Jude in 2007 was outstanding, and i spent many days at the hospital when Sophie was receiving her radiation. I will forever support St. Jude and appreciate the seven months they gave her with us.
Donate if you are able. Think positive. I am. Say your prayers.
