For the past couple years I've fundraised for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with fellow students at the University of Montana. This year, I decided to try a new way of going about it by tying it in with a passion of mine...running. I will be participating in the Missoula Half Marathon along with other runs this summer. While I train for these events I will be raising money for St. Jude with other runners from around the country. My goal is to reach $1000 by the day of the Missoula Marathon on July 9th. I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money I raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer.
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- Keep in mind, any donation made to St. Jude is tax deductible!
- 100% of donations go directly to St. Jude's.
Any donation small or large is greatly appreciated and goes a long way toward the fight to ending childhood cancer.
