I'm not much of a competitive person, but I have chosen to use my running to fund childhood cancer treatment and research at St. Jude. I will be participating in the half marathon in Memphis on December 2, 2017. I have been a dedicated runner for a while now, but this will be my first ever race. I'm dedicating my training and race to the memory of Will Pappas who was a patient at St. Jude.
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
