This is my 2nd year on Team WFRE so that I can help make an impact in the fight against childhood cancer.
THERE ARE NO SMALL DONATIONS- EVERY DONATION COUNTS!
$3 = pediatric isolation masks to help protect patients with compromised immune systems.
$10 = rehabilitation weights to help improve patients' quality of life.
$30 = Meals for one day for a St. Jude family with meals for one day in the Kay Kafe, the St. Jude cafeteria.
$57 = Necessities when far from home
$100 = One pair of pediatric crutches sized especially for children
$100 = A platelet count test for two patients
$250 = One red blood cell transfusion--- Children undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening diseases often need transfusions.
$500 = One hour of physical therapy
Physical therapy is provided to patients because children with life-threatening diseases like cancer may develop developmental, cognitive or physical impairments as a result of their illnesses and treatments.
$750 = helps cover the cost of two chest x-rays for a St.Jude patient
$1,000 = cover 2 thirds of the cost of one day of Chemotherapy.
$2,500 = one ultrasound study
$5,000 = cost of the daily room rate in the ICU
$10,000 = one CT scan for a St. Jude patient
$2.2 Million = cost to run St. Jude for 1 day.
