I'm preparing to run (along with Jeremy) in RunDisney's Wine and Dine 10K this fall. We chose this race because it takes place the weekend before my 40th birthday (yikes). Both of us have committed this year to grow closer as a couple, and a portion of that we plan to do through exercise and race training together. Neither of us have run a race before, never even walked 10K all at one time before, but this is the year we are doing it.
We are also choosing to run for more than just ourselves. We are using our running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as we train. We're running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside us because the money we raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer.
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Please donate and help me reach my goal!
