If you know me, you know how dedicated I am to using my running to make an impact and a difference in the world.
This time is a little different. I, myself, have been fighting cancer and on February 10th, I had surgery to remove two tumors and my thyroid. It was a bit scary to say the least, but even scarier, would be if one of my children had cancer. I cannot imagine how children with cancer must feel. I cannot imagine what their parents must be going through; worried about their child and trying to figure out how to work and pay for cancer treatment when all they want to do is be with their child. It is because of the up-close-and-personal, real-life experience of my personal struggle, that my next full marathon will be in Nashville on April 29, 2017. This time around, I'm raising funds for the children and the parents who St. Jude Children's Research Hospital helps.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Thanks to donors like you:
Thank you for donating and helping the kids of St. Jude!
