St. Jude and Ronald McDonald House have long been my charities of choice. I'm old enough to remember when St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was founded. This year I'm using my new found passion for running to help raise even more funds for St. Jude. I'm using my running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as I train. I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money I raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer. I'm also running in particular as a part of Team Carson Elizabeth in support of a friend and coworker who lost his precious daughter to cancer last year. Please click on the "View My Team" link above to see Carson's story.
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
I have committed to raise at least $500 for the kids at St. Jude. I'm getting close but still need to raise a little more. Even small donations help a lot. Please take a moment to donate and help me reach my goal!
