I am running in honor and memory of my son Stephen Gant. Stephen was watching a St. Jude telethon when he was around 15 years old. He was visibly upset after hearing the parents and children discuss their journeys. He became A Partner in Hope that day. Stephen passed away April 3 2012 @ the age of 19 from a self inflicted gun shot wound. He was full of compassion and that's why I'm running.
I want to do more than run — I want to help run St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. That's why I'm committed to raising funds as a St. Jude Hero. I'm ready to go the distance, but I need your support.
It costs $2 million a day to operate St. Jude. Did you know that 70% of the funds come from the public? That means your donation, no matter what the size, will help!
Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Thank you for helping me run St. Jude!
