I'm running again!
I am running in honor and memory of my son Stephen Gant. Stephen was watching a St. Jude telethon when he was around 15 years old. He was visibly upset after hearing the parents and children discuss their journeys. Stephen asked me if he could become a Partner in Hope. He said, "We have all we need and these kids are fighting just to live." He became A Partner in Hope that day. He gave $20 each month from his savings account. Stephen passed away April 3 2012 @ the age of 19 from a self inflicted gun shot wound. He was full of compassion, I want to continue his pledge and that's why I'm running.
It costs $2 million a day to operate St. Jude. Did you know that 70% of the funds come from the public? That means your donation, no matter what the size, will help!
Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Thank you for helping me run St. Jude!
My Personal Web Log
I hoped to be training by now but I'm not able to train yet. I had jaw surgery Dec 21, my jaw was wired shut and I have been on a no chew diet since then. I go to the doctor for follow up Jan 25. I'm hoping he'll tell me when I can get these wires off. Then I will be able to eat enough to regain my energy. Then my training will begin. I could use some prayers. Thank you in advance.
