On December 2nd, I had the privilege of running the St. Jude Memphis Half Marathon in Memphis. This was a very special race for me as the race route took us right through the campus of St. Jude. Seeing the doctors, patients and families out there cheering us on was incredible. It brought forth so much emotion and really set right in front of us, why we fundraise and why we do, what we do for these kids and families. I have a very close personal connection to St. Jude through friends and family and take it very personal all the research and treatment that they give.
On April 29th, I will be running my 4th Half Marathon as a St. Jude Hero and I am extremely proud of committing to this, but I need your help. Magic will not cure cancer, research will. Since their inception, St. Jude has raised the survival rate for A.L.L. from 4% to 94%. They have raised the survival rate for all other types of cancer from 20% to 80%.
Families at St. Jude never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. Because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. This is all do in part to donations from people like you and I. If you can, please give, $5, $10, $20, $25. No amount is too small and 100% of your donation goes to fund research and provide for these incredible kids and families.
Thank you for helping me to run St. Jude!
