As managing partner at Fertility Associates of Memphis, I am asking you to help the children at St. Jude.
Fertility Associates of Memphis is proud to be a sponsor of the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend. This is our fourth year of pledging to run and raise money in support of the life saving work at St. Jude.
St. Jude is recognized world-wide as a leader in treatment for childhood cancer. As a result of their continued research and development of advanced treatments, more and more children are surviving. Some treatments in childhood, including radiation and some forms of chemotherapy, can result in the inability to have children.
Since 1996, the doctors at Fertility Associates of Memphis have been working with the families of St. Jude to offer same-day service for fertility preservation. Beginning in June of 2014, we began staffing the fertility preservation clinic on the St. Jude campus to provide fertility preservation techniques to as many patients as possible.
As a part of the Fertility Preservation Program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, participating patients with a cancer diagnosis are never charged for fertility medications, physicians or laboratory expenses, or the expense of storing their sperm or eggs up to age 35. Some of these medications and treatments are expensive and we hope to raise money to help.
Through a partnership with Walgreens H.e.a.r.t Beat program sponsored by Ferring pharmaceuticals and Fertile Hope sponsored by EMD Serono we are able to obtain medications for many patients. As a founding member of Fertile Hope, an organization dedicated to helping individuals with a cancer diagnosis have children, Fertility Associates of Memphis has agreed to provide services at the lowest possible cost. We use the long term storage facilities of the crypreservation specialists at Reprotech, who have awarded many of our cancer patients storage grants through their Verna's Purse program. These partnerships save valuable funds for continued research and treatment at St. Jude.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer. The budgeted daily operating cost of St. Jude is $2 million, and approximately 75% of the budgeted costs of St. Jude are covered by public contributions.
Join us as we help run St. Jude!
I want to do more than run — I want to help run St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. That's why I'm committed to raising funds as a St. Jude Hero. I'm ready to go the distance, but I need your support.
Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food, or fertility preservation — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Thank you for helping me run St. Jude!
