Last year I ran this half marathon for the second time. While I felt that I was mentally and physically prepared for the race, I wasn't emotionally prepared to see the young patients of St. Jude once again. It broke my heart seeing all of them on the sidewalk cheering us on while we were running the race. I thought that I would not be able to finish the race as I ran through the campus of St. Jude, but I did. After the race, I realized that this was going to become an annual event for me. I can't imagine what each of the children have to endure on a daily basis, but I know that I can run 13.1 miles in their honor. This year I am commited to raising $2500 for St. Jude. Would you please consider helping me make it to my goal?
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Thanks to donors like you:
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Thank you for donating and helping me reach my goal for the kids of St. Jude!
