Dear Friends and Family,
I will be running the St. Jude Marathon again this year in Memphis on December 3rd. I am trying to help raise funds for this wonderful hospital. This will be my 2nd marathon and it is very special to me. St. Jude Children's hospital is such blessing to so many. I had my first encounter with St. Jude in 1989 when my best friend's daughter, Meagan was diagnosed with Leukemia, ALL. I had no idea what all of this meant at the time. It just couldn't be true! I saw the true love, dedication, heartache and pain of one of the strongest ladies I know. Monica Ash Vosberg was there every step of the way with Meg while having to leave her other children with her parents and friends. I lived in Memphis at the time and was able to spend time with them at the hospital. I was amazed with these children. There was no screaming and crying like you hear at the doctors office. This was their life and to some, that is all they have ever known. We lost Meagan, she was only 9-1/2 years old. She was one tough little girl with a personality that could move mountains and melt hearts. A piece of my heart died with her. These children deserve so much!! Please help us find a cure for all of these childhood diseases. I am running in Memory of Meagan Danielle Ash, in Honor of Zach Breaux, (lymphoma), one of our students at Zachary High School whom is now in remission, and also in Honor of a wonderful young lady named Kenlie Jackson, She is the daughter of a childhood friend who is actively going through chemotherapy and recently had an amputation. She is so precious and has the best little personality and infectious smile. The doctors and staff at St. Jude are the best. They absolutely love these kids. Any donation is so appreciated. This is the least I can do for such a wonderful place that does so much for our children.
I love you all,
