For the fourth year in a row, I will be joining Team Smiles for Sophie at the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend, this year running the 10k! I'm returning again because I am incredibly inspired by St. Jude and their dedication to children and their families. Listening to former patients and family members speak at the pasta dinner the night before the race, I realize how much support they offer during what is the most difficult time of their lives.
Research conducted at St. Jude has significantly increased the childhood cancer survival rate, but unfortunately there is still much work to be done. Just last month, a neighborhood family lost their 6 year old daughter a year after her diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma. I wonder how many classmates and friends are missing from my children's lives, who lost their courageous battle. If you are able, please consider making a contribution!
Any amount donation is greatly appreciated!
By running as a Hero and raising funds for St. Jude, I hope to contribute to the battle against childhood cancers. If you are able to make a contribution in any amount, it would be sincerely appreciated! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
I'm committed to raising funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a St. Jude Hero.
Did you know?
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Because the majority of St. Jude funding comes from people like you, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation. (That means your donation, no matter what the size, will help!)
- St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90% by 2020.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies of cancer, and neither will I. Will you join me and be a Hero, too?
Thank you for your help.
