I'm back for another rewarding experience remembering Brody, and to continue to fight DIPG, and help raise money for St. Judes Children's Research Hospital. I will never forget seeing first hand the care and fight they gave Brody in his battle with DIPG. Two years ago when we ran, we were privileged to get a tour of the hospital. Once again, I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. To see the families through out the hallways who are in the middle of their own fight, to the nurses, doctors, receptionists, showing so much care for every child, and seeing these kids with smiles still on their faces while they fight this horrible disease. The relief these families receive to not have to worry about medical expenses is huge. I along with two of my best friends are back to join Brody's Bunch this December to run a half marathon. I've committed to raising $2,500, but am setting my goal for $3,000! I can't thank all of you enough who have supported me in the past in this endeavor, and ask for your help in my efforts again this year. Every little bit counts, and helps St. Judes continue to research and take care of these children and their families. I run for Brody, and remember is sweet smile and spirit that continue to inspire all that ever met him!! Thank you again for your support!!
I'm choosing to run for more than myself. I'm using my running to help save kids' lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as I train. I'm running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money I raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer.
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food -- because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Please donate and help me reach my goal!
